Hello teaser fans; I hope your Bank Holiday Sunday has been brighter than mine... still if it hasn't, why haven't you been here adding guesses to this week's Something for the Weekend

Yesterday morning I showed you this

and asked you to identify it.

We had some great guesses this week... tea-strainer, tiger bread, Usky's waistcoat, wasp's nest, a leopard's left ball, Rod Stewart's leopard-print tights, honeycomb, waffle... great guesses, but wrong each and every one.

Several of you did grab the right answer though... and here it is:

I was so sure this teaser would be snapped up in the first few minutes... but since no-one has guessed it, that just goes to show what I know I suppose...

Yesterday morning I posted this for you to identify...

I really expected the answer to fly out of the screen at me... so many of you have guessed at various sea-life things just recently... and, well...

Oh well, there's no point in prolonging this now is there?

Here it is...

...a piece of coral I found washed up on a beach, from the Family Trachyphylliidae (I think).

So Old Usky has fooled you all again... and without actually trying this time!

Just to remind you, Usky is on a hat-trick this week... but the question is, did he succeed in his quest to fool you folks three weeks in a row?

Yesterday morning I asked you to identify my latest Little Something for the Weekend

Let me tell you now, it's no kind of leg... bee, cat, deer, elephant or aardvark!

So later in the day I offered you a second clue...

I wondered whether the furriness would point a few more of you down the 'moth' route...

You also had a non visual clue, in the title of April Wine's song... Wings of Love

Then this afternoon I added a final visual clue...

You needed to imagine the first visual and third visual clues joined together

Oh well... I could see it and hoped you could too

Here they are... in all their 'morning glory'...

A couple, as in PAIR, of moths doing the do...

Oh, oh, oh... am I a sneaky Old Usky or what?

So there we are then... no completely correct answer... I claim my hat-trick!

I'm going to give special mentions to LaSpice, WyrdSeeker, Happy28 and Kendersrule for making mention of the 'moth' thing... just a shame none of you joined the dots to complete the puzzle, although I'll grant you it was particularly obscure this week.

Yesterday morning I asked you to identify this little fellow...

Well it seems most of agreed it was organic, but believe me it isn't an anemone, or a caterpillar, or some left-over sprouting vegetables...

It's all very simple really... and you'll find thousands of them on certain specific trees at this time of year... and what's more they're growing into something quite delightful!
