A Little Something For The Weekend?

Good morning all and apologies for not posting this yesterday evening as promised... circumstances beyond my control and all that. Anyway better late then never, eh?

So on Saturday morning I offered you this easy tease and asked you to provide the perfect answer...

Gilraen screeched out of the starting blocks with her answer "Bee's wing." Not the perfect answer, but worthy of an Usky Special Award for putting the rest of you on the right track.

The humble bumble bee it certainly was, but I was so hoping someone would correctly spot the purple flower old bumbly was sat on... and although you tried, no-one quite managed to get it right.

Most Original Answer of the Week prize goes to Ten for her "melted boiled sweet stuck on a fur coat" and gets a very special mention.

Oh Jem... the bee's alive and well... or was when the picture was taken.

NotBob was closest I think when he said it was a bee on a thistle... except it isn't a thistle... but it was oh so close... and I'm feeling extra specially generous so I'm awarding him a prize too.

So that's three prize winners this week... Gilraen, Tentativeplotfinder and NotBob...

Now here's the thing... I'll award a forth prize to whoever can tell me what the bee's sat on. Come on, get guessing!

Good evening teaser fans... think it's time I revealed all in this week's Little Something for the Weekend.

Yesterday morning I showed you this

As fanciful as I thought it, I'm afraid they're not snail horns great answer that though!

So let's see... it isn't star anise, or decomposed bones

Nor is it horned coral or some sort of animal feed

I quite like the idea of it being newt feet, but am afraid it isn't

Trintrin1x was on the money though...

Unfortunately for Trinni she was pipped to the post by the eagle-eyed Munzly who rightly suggested "Cloves."

It's been a little while my old friend, but once again Usky's drawers are open; you know the routine by now.
