First of all many apologies for not posting the answer to the one yesterday evening... I could have come online and done something about it around 10:00pm, but frankly I was too tired to bother by then.
Anyway... old Usky has done it again *skips a little dance*
It's not often I manage to fool you folks these days, but on this occasion I came up trumps!
I showed you this

and hoped it would look enough like bristle to get you thinking about brushes and the like... and you fell right into my devious trap!
My old pal Munzly was closest in an odd sort of way with his final guess... thatch.

Okay it isn't thatch, but it is the thatch-like brush hairs on a moth's head...

Oh yes... for a full view of the moth concerned have a look at my lepidopterist post. ![]()
I'll have to think of something really different for next week's teaser... I wonder what I can come up with this time? ![]()
See you all on Saturday for another Little Something for the Weekend.

What a beauty!

Well, of course I knew all along it couldn't REALLY be a brush, far too obvious
But that's a lovely moth. Seen at that magnification, you just want to stroke that lovely furry little head (I do anyway),though might be a bit tricky at normal scale!
Wouldn't do much to keep your shoes shiny though
