Happy Saturday morning teaser fans... it's that time of the week again, so here I am with another Little Something for the Weekend. 
Nice and easy again this week... I think I've thrown you a few curve balls recently.

I had it when I was a kid about 15 years ago but not sure now...

I think you can. There's a few shops selling 'old-fashioned' sweets about, but the sweets are not the same as they used to be. I had some peanut brittle from one, nothing like the original, great disappointment, far too chunky and not enough peanut, possibly not buttery enough either, and I think the cough candy twists were a lot less flavoursome too, but that could be my taste buds.
A quote in the Sunday Times - 'For people in later middle age the present is a place of exile in which they are condemned to live estranged from the country they knew and loved as a child' This stands as true for me in the sweet shop as it does in life

Same here. I love all the technology we have now, but there was something warm in having the family sat around the TV watching gentle comedy, and Sunday being so quiet with no shops open, you'd drift off with footy on the tv (no choice, one telly and no computer in those days!) and rain falling outside, but totally relaxed. Ahhhh! Those Bisto days!

Pro Family Favourites on the radio... Sunday roast and the family sat around the table all clean and tidy in our Sunday best... afternoon entertainment from Round the Horne or the Goons... as you say... Ahhhh! Those Bisto days!

Pro You know I can still picture it in my mind's eye... the room, the decoration, ornaments, furniture, the dining table, Mum & Dad, my Grandmother, brother and me... fifty years ago and it's as plain as day... but I haven't a clue what I did on Monday!

I know you have a concern over your memory Usky. It won't help to know I'm no better at 45, really, but some-times I think not having routine, ie Monday-Friday 9-5, makes it more difficult to remember days as they drift by.
The thing with memory though I find is that if there's alot of feeling connected to a memory, it stays alive. When I think back to scenes, triggered by a photo maybe or a thought, the sense of how it felt when I was there returns, even the odd waft of aroma might come. When people speak of books they read as a child, a strong impression of hardboard books and blackboard, sunshine and the feeling of an infants classroom comes back. There's something about it that evades my conscious mind, I suspect something good or bad ensued, it's an elusive feeling, but it revisits over the years. I wonder why?
It's a strong worry thinking the mind's going. Learning new stuff helps keep it working, like the computer game that's being advertised. You'll be taking in some new stuff soon too Uskers, so I'd try not to worry, you may find all this blows over with some sunshine and new challanges! (Have you been accepted for the exercise group?)
Well take it steady Uskers, and pointless to say really, try not to worry, if there's anything that muddles the mind and concentration, it's worry. Hugs, Chas.X.

I wasn't here at all yesterday... even posted my teaser on Friday evening with a delayed time-stamp... but I'm back now.
