  • Something for the Weekend 40 - the answer

The time has come to spill the beans and announce the winner of this weekend's teaser...

Once again we've had some imaginative answers to my little poser:
Something for the Weekend No 40

This wasn't tyre tracks in the snow, or the scuffed sole of a trainer. Nor was it the barnacled hull of an old boat, or some kind of reptile skin.

Grumpybloke was first passed the post this week when he suggested I was some kind of Cretaceous left over...
Something for the Weekend No 40

I won't be offended if you call me a FOSSIL at all GB, for that's exactly what I am.

The virtual prize draw is open for you my friend and of course your choice of a customised desktop wallpaper image, should you want one. Congratulations for the second time this weekend old chap. :D

Roll on next Saturday... I have a real stinker for you! :))

  • Something for the Weekend 40

Good morning teaser fans, here I am with another Little Something For The Weekend. :)

I'm afraid last week's teaser was far too easy so I decided to go for something a tad more difficult this time around.

    Here's your teaser image:
Something for the Weekend No 40

But the question is, what is it?

All usual rules apply, so feel free to guess as many times as you like. The winner will be announced tomorrow evening and just to clarify, in the case of several contestants giving the correct answer, the comment timing will be taken into account.

    Happy guessing!

  • Something for the Weekend 39 - the answer

A double prize award again this week for an immediate right answer and a fully correct interpretation.

I'd asked you to identify this:
Something for the Weekend No 39

Not too hard this week it seems.

Firstly then congratulations go to mycorneroftheworld who guessed within minutes of my post and said "it looks like a pair of glasses to me."

Congratulations also go to Jembajr who hit the nail exactly on the head saying, "I shall say that this is a close up of Usky in his specs."
Something for the Weekend No 39

Not a pretty sight I know, but as you can see Jem was spot on.

Most inspirational(:??:) guess of the week must go to Happy who thought the teaser looked like a pair of testicles... :))

Well done to everyone who also guessed spectacles; I see from the number of right answers I'll have to make next week's a bit harder. ;)

So ladies, the virtual prize draw is now open; select your virtual gift with care. Please feel free to select an Usky Desktop of your choice, should you wish one. PM me with details/questions if you do.

See you again next week teaser fans.

  • Something for the Weekend 39

Good morning Teaser Fans; I hope this Saturday finds you fit and well?

Last week's enforced hiatus is gone and forgotten (thank you Mr Hacker:## ) and business is back to normal... whatever 'normal' might be! :))

    Here's this week's little something:
Something for the Weekend No 39

    What is it?

Happy guessing and have fun!

  • Something for the Weekend 38 - the answer

Good evening teaser fans; here the answer to this weekend's Little Something for the Weekend. :)

I thought I had you again, but I'm feeling kind of generous so I'm going to award a joint prize this week.

Something for the Weekend No 38

    Munzly
said "Ice or snow" and Mycorneroftheworld said "The beach starting to freeze into ice? Looks like sand and some grass too." Jembajr suggested "A little stream that's gone a bit muddy." If we roll the three together we get the right answer... well kind of... hmmm... perhaps I ought to change my mind and claim the prize myself? :>>

Something for the Weekend No 38

The correct solution, as you can all see, is the solidified edge of a frozen puddle. :)

The three of you are close enough to take advantage of this week's virtual prize draw, which is now open. Should you like a customised Usky Desktop, please PM me and I'll arrange that for you.

Congratulations to all three and a special mention to Happy for the most original wrong answer - cat sick it ain't! :))

  • Something for the Weekend 38

Yet another weekend has arrived, which means it must be teaser time again. Of course you may be all teasered out after the last week or so... ;)

It may be a new year, but I hope you'll be glad to hear it's the same old weekend teaser.

    Here's this week's image...

Something for the Weekend No 38

No hints, tips, or otherwise from me this week, but as usual feel free to make as many guesses as you like.

The correct answer and winner's details will be announced tomorrow... so what are you waiting for? Get guessing! :>>

Happy New Year y'all and remember, things are not always as they seem. ;)

  • Something for the Weekend - New Year Special - the answer

I think it's time I revealed the answer to the New Year Special...

First of all, well done to all those who said the image was of some nuts...

Something for the Weekend - New Year Special

A special mention to Gilraen who was so quick off the mark with her guess, "walnuts" and to Flim Flam who suggested "mixed nuts"; both were so, so close...

But the winner on this occasion has to be EllieGant who correctly identified the object as "a hazelnut and two walnuts".

Something for the Weekend - New Year Special

To be honest I was originally going to accept mixed nuts as the answer, but since a couple of people identified the nuts shown accurately I decided the prize had to go to Ellie. :)

EllieGant; the virtual prize draw is now open and a customised desktop image is also on offer if you'd like one?

    New Year's Congratulations Ellie.
