It's New Years Eve and time to reveal the answer to my Christmas Special teaser...

I thought this was a hard one and it seems lots of you did too, but some of the answers you gave were simply fantastic!

This wasn't the middle of a Crunchie bar, nor some congealed curry (). It isn't a roast potato or a cheese burger, roasted pineapple or mustard piccalilli...

It is however something you could eat if you really wanted to and Happy got it right (again!) when she said it was seaweed...

My apologies for not managing to post a weekend teaser on Saturday... I really wasn't up to it.

Anyway I had in mind to post an absolute stinker for you as the last one before Christmas, so I thought maybe I'd post it now as a Christmas Special for you to ponder over...

The majority seemed to think this was part of a cactus plant.

I'd already done a cactus and although I'm not saying I won't do another in the future, I've a few more odds and ends up my sleeve yet.

I do wonder whether Deana24 put GB on the right track when she said, "I think cactus might be a red herring... "
