It's Saturday morning once again and that means it's time for another weekend teaser.
The last two teasers were identified first guess; I wonder if this one will suffer the same fate?
Here it is, but waht, exactly, is it?

Happy guessing!

shell - thats the word i couldnt think off lol
I rather like the "snail's home" Norm; yes it's a snail shell, but what kind of snail?
It's a snail shell - Helix Vulgaris?
Well, spot on!
I'd have happily accepted 'Garden Snail' Munzly, but you're absolutely right. Yet another teaser falls straight away, since Norm was also on the right lines.
I have an early novel which has snails for heroes, it never got finished - it was intended as fantasy-fiction for my kids - but it's best not to talk too much about early attempts at writing. ![]()
That's interesting; most people would think of snails as unwelcome guests, not heroes. They're good to eat though.
I gave them the persona of little knights in armour. Of course it was all slow-motion, especially the jousting mounted on war-slugs.
The baddies all had pointy shells like whelks ![]()
Brilliant idea; you certainly have an active imagination.
I've just remembered, the baddies were called the Escargot. It was my first attempt at writing fiction back in 1985, but it got a poor reception from the kids, in that they refused to read anything suggested by a parent, so I gave up on it.
It wasn't until I was off sick in 1997 that I got back to writing again. But my now grown up kids are still as awkward as ever, but as they have kids of their own, I can conspire with my grandkids to be as awkward back - revenge! hee hee ![]()
I'm hoping it'll be quite a while yet before I have grand-kids of my own, but I like the idea of gaining revenge on the offspring through them when they finally appear; there's something very poetic about it. ![]()
I'm really glad you came back to writing; as you know I've been enjying your Mardlingham Saga. ![]()
Thank you, it's fun to write ![]()
