Hello everyone... time I put his week's teaser to bed I think.

Yesterday morning I showed you this image an asked you to identify it:

I must admit I was knocked out by some the answers this week...

It could so easily have been a blackberry, or tarmac, or a glitter ball... a peppercorn, or coffee bean, or a particularly nasty scab... like leprosy!

How I smiled as you guessed at caviare, the dog's whotsits, or a licorice allsort...

Then MissyMouse jumped on one of Jack's comments...

Well, here I am with the winner's details for this week's Little Something for the Weekend

Yesterday morning I showed you this:

and I was immediately impressed by roblavender's answer "I think it is the inside of an animals ear." Rob, you were certainly right.

Sadly Rob you went down the 'canine' line... while Munzly and others decided the ear belonged to a pig of one variety or another. Of course Brokendownangel thought it was a nipple! Darlin' you need therapy!

Jembajr was convinced I'd nicked a scene from American Werewolf in London... ...such a great idea, I wish I could say it was so

The right answer came at 9:47am...

Well I told you this week's teaser was an easy one... and I was obviously right because for the second week running Spicy was online within minutes with an answer in the right area... I'm obviously going to have to try very much harder!

Here is the image I asked you to identify

The world and his dog shouted Red Cabbage at me...

We did have some interesting answers though... iced-cream ripple, of various flavours... a slice of red onion... a section of Usky's brain!

But yes, Spicy was not only quick off the block, she was also exact in her identification:

Well it's six o'clock on Sunday and time I put you teaser fans out of your misery I suppose...

This looked to be all too easy at first glance didn't it?

So obviously a bird's egg...

So obviously a nest...

Ah, but then you spotted the next bit... the exact answer bit...

Well it couldn't be a starling egg, because starling eggs are blue...

Oyster catchers lay their eggs on the ground I think... no 'nest' as such...

So now... a cuckoo?

Well no, cuckoos only lay one egg in a nest don't they?

Could the eggs belong to tits or wrens, quails or coots?

It is a scruffy nest... and once again several of you got the answer right... but no Rob, the egg hadn't hatched.

Jack was pipped at the post this week by Munzly who correctly identified the nest/egg as belonging to the humble House Sparrow.
